i seem to be posting loads of results-related stuff on blogger and facebook recently. hope this will be the last.
i cannot understand why people like saying "it's ok, grades aren't everything" when they try to comfort someone who has buang-ed an exam. then again, maybe it's just that there really isn't anything else to say. -.-
if grades aren't everything, people wouldn't go around comparing their results.
if grades aren't everything, getting good results wouldn't be a legitimate reason for celebration.
if grades aren't everything, people wouldn't be in tears over less than satisfactory results.
if grades aren't everything, parents would never threaten, tempt or mollycoddle their kids into producing a pleasant-looking report slip.
face it, grades ARE everything. i'm pretty sure the above are not baseless claims. anyone studying in singapore would probably have experienced at least one of the above statements before.
on a sidenote, hopefully WKWSCI will at least interview me. give me chance to prove that my abysmal knowledge of econs won't affect my writing ability, please?
